Exclusive: Get Inspired By Sanitized Conceptualism In Clip From 'Art Machine'

Art Machine

The leap required from standing in front of a blank canvas to creating work of art requires one key ingredient: inspiration. And in the upcoming comedy “Art Machine,” the search for that elusive artistic requirement powers the story.

Starring Joseph Cross, Jessica Szohr, Christopher Abbot and Joey Lauren Adams, and directed by Doug Karr, the Brooklyn set tale follows Declan Truss, a painter who at the age of six was a prodigy and marvel of the art world. Now seventeen, he’s got an exhibition coming up that will see him come-of-age as an artist, but the pressure to find inspiration is weighing on him. But soon, a commune of freethinkers shakes up his world, and Declan begins to experiment wildly, planning a subversive art exhibition that will bring down the system that he believes is holding him back. In this exclusive clip we see Declan trying to manage the expectations of his mother, as well as handle the stress from his upcoming show.

“Art Machine” hits On Demand on February 6th. Watch below.
