Last weekend, Tom Cruise kept dying over and over again as he tried to figure out how to save the world, but it’s not the only movie coming around the bend to borrow the conceptual framework of “Groundhog Day.” The template has been applied to the forthcoming comedy “Premature,” and we have the exclusive trailer for the film that first unspooled for audiences at this spring’s SXSW.
Co-written and directed by Dan Beers, and starring John Karna, Craig Roberts, Katie Findlay, Alan Tudyk, Adam Riegler, Carlson Young and Elon Gold, the film follows one high schooler who keeps repeating the biggest day of his life. It’s 24 hours that finds having to nail a college entrance exam, deal with his concerned parents, all while trying to get the girl of his dreams. But can he make the right choices so he’s not perpetually on the edge of tomorrow?
Find out when IFC Midnight brings the film to theatres and On Demand on July 2nd. Watch the trailer below and check out the poster as well.
