For some people, taking a stand means signing on online petition, maybe writing a letter to their local politician or even marching in an organized protest. But for others they desire something with more direct results, even if that means something violent and illegal. And that’s the jumping off point for Kelly Reichardt‘s “Night Moves,” an intimate look at a trio of activists who are plotting something that will change their lives forever.
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Peter Sarsgaard and Dakota Fanning, the movie follows a trio who come together to bomb a hydroelectric dam and follows the changing dynamics between them as the full weight of their plans come to bear on their conscience. And this exclusive clip shows how that all plays out as the participation and legitimacy of one key member is discussed. If you’re a fan of the director, this will be one to seek out, with our review calling it “a crackling little suspense thriller/morality play indebted to Dostoyevsky and Hitchcock.”
“Night Moves” opens in limited release on May 30th. Watch below.
