Exclusive Poster For Mary Harron's 'The Moth Diaries' Plus New Trailer For The Film

nullDirector Mary Harron has never shied away from edgy material. Her early career was marked by the wicked one-two punch of "I Shot Andy Warhol" and of course, the contemporary classic "American Psycho." She followed up those films with the pinup biopic "The Notorious Bettie Page" and has also peppered her CV with TV work on shows as diverse as "Big Love," "Oz" and "Homocide: Life On The Streets." It's coming on seven years since her last feature effort, but the director is returning this year with "The Moth Diaries."

Playing both Venice and TIFF last fall, the film once again finds the helmer working in unique territory. Starring Lily Cole, Scott Speedman and Sarah Bolger, and based on the novel by Rachel Klein, the film follows a sixteen-year-old girl at an exclusive boarding school and her obsession with her roommate, Lucy, and a mysterious new classmate named Ernessa. The mystery behind this new student only deepens when an inexplicable relationship between Lucy and Ernessa develops and fear spreads throughout the boarding school.

"The Moth Diaries" will be available on iTunes, VOD and other digital outlets on March 20th, but if you want to see it on the big screen, you can look for it on April 20th. The exclusive poster courtesy of IFC Films and trailer from Yahoo are below.
