Exclusive: Poster For Road Trip Comedy 'Brooklyn Brothers Beat The Best'

null“We’re going to change the course of human history – like the Wyld Stallyns in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure!” one of the pair of Ryan O'Nan and Micheal Weston says in "Brooklyn Brothers Beat The Best." And it's that spirit that will hopefully capture audiences when the indie film hits theaters later this year.

Written, directed by and starring O'Nan, this breezy flick follows Alex, an underachiever, recently dumped by his girlfriend, who embarks on an impromptu road trip with his new bandmate, the eccentric Jim (Weston). By channeling their inner children and giving a new meaning to the term "lo-fi," Alex and Jim find their unique style by bringing the sound of children's instruments to their unsuspecting fans. Playing a series of bizarre shows and experiencing multiple near-disasters, Alex and Jim's persistence takes them on a true coming-of-age journey.

Premiering at TIFF in 2011 and playing a handful of festivals since, "Brooklyn Brothers Beat The Best" has received some encouraging advance word, and it's coming your way soon. Oscilloscope Laboratories will be bringing the movie to theaters on September 21st, and we've got the exclusive poster for the film below. And if it's stars you want, you might want to know that 'Brooklyn' also features appearances by Melissa Leo, Andrew McCarthy and Wilmer Valderrama.
