"Robot & Frank," the feature film debut of commercial director Jake Schreier, premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival where it earned some solid buzz, became a hot acquistion title and was the co-winner of the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize.

Well, it will add to the success it earned in Park City as the film continues on the festival circuit, hitting Los Angeles this weekend in advance of its release later this summer. Starring Frank Langella, James Marsden, Liv Tyler and Susan Sarandon, the unusual and unique tale is set in the near future and follows Frank, a retired cat burglar with two grown kids who are concerned he can no longer live alone. They are tempted to place him in a nursing home until Frank's son chooses a different option: against the old man's wishes, he buys Frank a walking, talking humanoid robot programmed to improve his physical and mental health. What follows is a hilarious and heartbreaking story about finding friends and family in the most unexpected places.

We're happy to unveil the poster for the the film, which puts its two unlikely lead characters right upfront. "Robot & Frank" has two screenings at the L.A. Film Festival, both followed by a Q&A with the director: tonight, Thursday, June 21st at 5 p.m. at the Regal Cinemas, L.A. Live 8 and Saturday, June 23rd at 7:10 p.m. at Regal Cinemas, L.A. Live 10.
