If you didn’t hit the slopes of Sundance, get a chance to taste the BBQ of SXSW or gallivant around the south of France at Cannes, not to worry because BAMcinemaFest has got you covered. Celebrating its fifth year in 2013, the rising festival is quickly becoming a midyear highlight, gathering the best of festivals from around the world while becoming a place to catch premieres as well. And with the kick off just under two weeks away, we’re happy to unveil the trailer for this year’s festivities.
A collaboration between designer Eve Weinberg (who among her many esteemed projects is Kanye West‘s “All Of The Lights”) and Makerbot, a company specializing in 3D printing, the trailer is a glitter and confetti filled party that replicates the buzz and excitement BAMcinemaFest brings to cinephiles in New York City. And this year’s line-up has plenty to get excited about with highlights including David Lowery‘s “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints,” James Pondsoldt’s Sundance smash “The Spectacular Now,” Joe Swanberg‘s “Drinking Buddies,” Andrew Bujalski‘s “Computer Chess,” music doc “Peaches Does Herself” and much, much more.
You can check out the full line-up right here. BAMcinemaFest runs from June 19-28.
