In the era of reboots, sequels, and remakes, it’s easy to look at the prospect of a new "Mad Max" movie with a cynical eye. However, credit to Warner Bros. for starting early and getting excitement amped for what is anything but a cheap redo of the desert-dry action flick. After two trailers, "Mad Max: Fury Road" has become one of the most anticipated movies of the year, and a handful of new images have arrived to let you peer into the world George Miller is bringing to the big screen.
Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron lead the new movie, which follows Mad Max and Imperator Furiosa as they battle Immortan Joe across an apocalyptic landscape. And what else do you need to know? By all early accounts, this is a largely dialogue-free, intense-as-hell thrillride, which shifts into top gear and never lets up, with Miller throwing all he’s got at the screen and then some. You can have your "Avengers: Age Of Ultron," we’ll take this instead.
"Mad Max: Fury Road" arrives on May 15th.
