'The Falcon & The Winter Soldier' Final Trailer: Bucky & Sam Are More Co-Workers Than A Team... So Far

With “WandaVision” in the rear mirror, and a big hit for Marvel Studios and Disney+, Marvel is already on to the next mission, this one, “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier.” If “WandaVision” was a risk playing with sitcom tropes, a mystery box element, and a love story all within a magical, strange MCU first, ‘Falcon and The Winter Solider,’ is more traditional, in the vein of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” mixed with a bickering buddy comedy set of leads. According to the new trailer, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are love-hate partners who are more like co-workers than a team.

Here’s the official synopsis, but it’s clear that Captain America’s legacy and shield are really central to this show. As are the idea: can these two guys stop fighting and learn to work as a team already?

All eyes are on the shield, as Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, and Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier, decide to team up—or rather, work together—when a new global threat launches them into an unexpected mission that may hit too close to home.

Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman as showrunner/head writer, the six-episode series stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Emily VanCamp, and Daniel Brühl. The series also features Erin Kellyman, Georges St. Pierre, Amy Aquino, Adepero Oduye, and Danny Ramirez. “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” debuts on Disney+ March 19, 2021. Watch the final trailer below.
