It may have taken a bit more time than fans were happy with, but we are now just a few months away from the fourth season of Noah Hawley’s series “Fargo.” Inspired by the Coen Brothers film of the same name, Hawley has turned “Fargo” into one of the best series on TV and a place where A-list actors can come for a season, do incredible work, and move on. As seen in the new trailer for “Fargo,” Season 4 tells the story of two warring factions in Kansas City during the 1950s — the Italian mafia and a group of African-Americans. The latter group is led by Loy Cannon (Chris Rock), who has exchanged children with the leader of the mafia as part of a truce. But this is “Fargo” and you know that the premise is only part of the story.
Outside of Chris Rock, the cast for this season includes Jason Schwartzman, Ben Whishaw, Jack Huston, Salvatore Esposito, Jeremie Harris, and Jessie Buckley. After watching the trailer, despite the other massive names, you have to assume that Buckley is going to be the standout. After “Wild Rose” and her other recent performances, the actress is set to become a household name sooner rather than later. So, “Fargo” might just be that role that puts her over the top.
