"I surrender, exploding around him — a draining, soul-grabbing orgasm that leaves me spent and exhausted," goes a line from "Fifty Shades Darker," featured on the box of Fifty Shades of Grey Come Alive Pleasure Gel for Her, which is at the center of a lawsuit for uh, not performing. But it would seem Universal is happy enough with what they’re expecting this weekend from "Fifty Shades Of Grey" that the sequels have been sort of announced.
MTV reports that at a fan event last week, devout followers of the E.L. James franchise were told “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed” were going to happen. And that’s it. No word yet on whether or not Sam Taylor-Johnson will be back to direct (doubtful, considering her clashes with the author) , or if Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have figured out how to turn up the temperature between them, given the reported lack of chemistry between the pair. But with some projections putting ‘Grey’ opening at over $60 million this weekend, you can bet Universal is more than considering followups.
Anyway, here’s a little foreplay with a new TV spot for the film. Mr. Grey will see you on Friday.
