First Images Of Monica Bellucci In Bahman Ghobadi's 'Rhino Season'

nullThe director behind such fare as "A Time For Drunken Horses," "Turtles Can Fly" and "No One Knows About Persian Cats," Iranian helmer Bahman Ghobadi might be ready for his biggest audience yet, with his latest animalistically titled "Rhino Season."

The film finds him working with his first bonafide international superstar in Monica Bellucci, but the subject matter is still very much close to the themes and issues he's always explored. Here's the official synopsis: After thirty years spent in prisons of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kurdish-Iranian poet Sahel finally walks free. Now the one thing keeping him alive is the thought of finding his wife Mina, who thinks he is long dead and has since moved to Turkey. Sahel sets out on an Istanbul-bound search.

The film makes its World Premiere in Toronto and will be seeking distribution.nullnullnull
