First Listen: M83 & Snow Patrol's 'Divergent' Tracks, Plus 2 New Clips & 14 Images From The YA Movie

Divergent

Will “Divergent” overcome the curse of previously failed YA adaptations? The movie doesn’t open up until March 21st, but tickets are already going on sale Tuesday March 4th, which suggests the demand is there (you can buy tickets right here). Moreover, the movie starring Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller and many more is tracking well, and Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment’s would-be franchise looks on course to haul in north of $50 million on its opening weekend. That would certainly bode well for its franchise hopes (and might even seal the deal immediately).

And so with that in mind, Entertainment Weekly has put the film on the cover. Strangely enough, the magazine is so convinced the movie is going to blow up, one of the lead questions to the actors is whether they are ready for fame. “It’s completely impossible to answer,” Theo James told the magazine. “If you say anything, you sound like a douche bag because who knows what the f— is going to happen?” Woodley agrees. ”It’s something that hasn’t happened yet,” she said. “Anyway, change is inevitable. It happens every day. I’m not going to change my life at all — I love the way I live. I’m not going to worry about it.”

Impending hit or not, the studios are hitting hard on all marketing cylinders. Two new tracks from the indie-riffic soundtrack have been released, including a new M83 and Snow Patrol song (which you can listen to below), a whole bunch of new images have been unveiled and a couple of clips from the film are surfacing as well. “Divergent” opens March 21st.

You can hear nine already-released tracks from the soundtrack here. Images via EW.
