First Listen: 'Nick & Norah's Bonus Playlist Songs

Back in August we gave you the details on the “Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist” soundtrack, including all the songs that were featured in the movie and not on the CD.

Well, it turns out if you buy the album on ITunes, you get four bonus songs in the deluxe edition not featured on the physical 15-track CD that came out on September 23 on Sony.

They include Michael Cera’s band in the film, The Jerkoff’s “Screw the Man,” Rogue Wave’s “Electro Socket Blues,” Marching Band’s “Trust Your Stomach” and Project Jenny, Project Jan’s “Negative.”

The latter group play a fake band (Are You Randy) that pose as the long-lost group in the film (called Where’s Fluffy) to dupe people into attending their concerts. We’ve got three of the four songs below.

We’ve been hard on the film and the soundtrack. We guess we were expecting John Hughes and didn’t get that at all and indie-rock lite soundtracks are starting to drive us up on the wall, but don’t get us wrong it wasn’t totally irredeemable, it just fell apart in the end, devolving into rom-com cliches. The one question we have: who actually wrote the songs for the JerkOff’s and is actor Rafi Gavron singing? Anyhow, have at it.
