So are books by the Beats poised to become the next tween lit pick of choice? Okay, so maybe it won't reach "The Hunger Games" or "Twilight" levels of popularity, but we're experiencing a bit of moment here with tweenage fave KStew leading Walter Salles' upcoming "On The Road" and now, Harry Potter himself Daniel Radcliffe stepping into the shoes of Allen Ginsberg. Howl, indeed.
The first look at "Kill Your Darlings" has emerged over at EW and featuring lots of tweed, chunky glasses, a Dad sweater and a scarf, you could probably find a copy of this guy walking down a street in Brooklyn right now. #Hipsterfashionforever. John Krokidas is set to helm a script he's co-written with Austin Bunn which will feature an impressive ensemble — Dane DeHaan, Elizabeth Olsen, Jack Huston, Michael C. Hall, Kyra Sedgwick, Ben Foster and Jennifer Jason Leigh — in story of a 1944 murder in Columbia that brought together Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac (Huston) and Williams S. Burroughs (Foster), a union that would catalyze the Beat Revolution.
Production actually kicked off this week New York City and continues for six weeks. No word yet if a fashion house will come aboard for a movie tie-in, but we hope someone is on the phone to make that happen.
