Open Road Films announced today they are releasing the Jamie Foxx thriller “Sleepless” on February 24, 2017. Based on the 2011 French film “Nuit Blanche,” the movie centers on cop with a connection to the criminal underworld who scours a nightclub in search of his kidnapped son.
SLEEPLESS stars Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained, White House Down) as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.
“Sleepless” is directed by Baran Bo Odar and is written by Andrea Berloff, and also stars Gabrielle Union, rapper T.I., Dermot Mulroney, Scoot McNairy and David Harbour.
