First Look: New ‘Wonder Woman’ Image Reveals Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Amazonians & More New Photos

Well, “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” is out in the world, at least for critics, and the reviews have been rather scathing (here’s ours, perhaps a more measured, but still negative take). If there’s some kind of general consensus out there it’s that Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is one of the best aspects of the film even though she has a minor role.

In the lead up to the movie coming out this weekend Warner Bros. has released new “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” photos via Snapchat, including new images of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, plus a featurette.

Additionally, EW has their hands on a brand new photo and first look of the Amazonian warriors who will inhabit the “Wonder Woman” film arriving in 2017. Revealed in the new photos are Wonder Woman’s mother, Queen Hippolyta (“Gladiator” star Connie Nielsen), and her two military aunts — General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli from the critically-celebrated “Force Majeure”)

Directed by Patty Jenkins (“Monster“), “Wonder Woman” hits theaters in the prime of summer, June 23, 2017 and is maybe the new DCU hope beyond “Suicide Squad” which already looks like a hit. Check out all the new photos below.
