Twenty-one years ago yesterday, “Jurassic Park” was released in theaters. And one year from today the saga will continue: fourteen years from the last time that the dinosaurs from the Steven Spielberg/Michael Crichton franchise roamed the screen, they’ll return in “Jurassic World,” the long-awaited fourth film in the series. Directed by “Safety Not Guaranteed” director Colin Trevorrow, the film promises to be a semi-reboot of one of the biggest franchises around, with a new cast of characters returning to Isla Nubar, where a giant, and so far successful park has been built on the ashes of John Hammond’s creation.

Trevorrow recently revealed that leaked plot spoilers, suggesting that the story involved scientists inadvisedly creating super-dinos, but otherwise the film has been kept mostly under wraps, with only a handful of on-set photos and the like being revealed. But to celebrate a year until the film’s release, Universal have, via The AV Club, released the first official stills from the film, which focus on the leads: Chris Pratt‘s scientist, who’s researching raptor behavior (bet that comes in useful…), Bryce Dallas Howard as an unknown character, decked here in all-white, and two cute kids played by “Kings Of Summer” actors Nick Robinson and “Iron Man 3“‘s Ty Simpkins. Not featured: any dinosaurs.

The film also stars Omar Sy, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, B.D. Wong, Katie McGrath and Lauren Lapkus, and we’ll be able to see what they get up to, and what dinosaur eats them, when the film hits theaters on June 12th, 2015.
