Vin Diesel made his regular stop at CinemaCon this week, where he was front and center for Universal’s presentation and surprise screening (more on that in a second) of “The Fate Of The Furious.” One person who wasn’t by his side? Dwayne Johnson. Apparently, the buff duo are still beefing.
As you’ll recall, last summer The Rock put his male co-stars on blast, writing on social media: “My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.”
The story goes that the “chicken shit” co-star was Diesel, and while Johnson tried to extinguish the flames of controversy, it appears that the pair still can’t be in the same room together. THR reports that Diesel and The Rock are being kept apart for the press tour of “The Fate Of The Furious.”
“They’re keeping them separated as much as possible,” a source told the trade. Looks like there’s trouble in the family….
not sure I saw even one shot in Fate of the Furious with @TheRock & Vin Diesel together. Take that how you will.

…but that didn’t really affect the movie, which screened for attendees and pretty well delivered what people were expecting from the eighth movie in the franchise. Check out reactions below and see “The Fate Of The Furious” yourself when it opens on April 14th.
Fate of the Furious is everything you want it to be and a ton of fun. @TheRock is a straight up superhero in the film and I loved it. pic.twitter.com/uz9QgnhVZ3

The Fate of the Furious takes the ridiculousness of the franchise to a whole new level, yet feels very different. Should be a gigantic hit.

I adored every ridiculous, silly, charming, absurd, fun second of The Fate of the Furious.

THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS is no joke. Doubles down on action, emotion, intensity, humor &, of course, family. The NYC stuff is off the chain. https://t.co/K3aeviUYCf

THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS features some great action set pieces but I think I may be too old for this franchise, which just isn't the same now

The Fate of the Furious is another winning entry in the franchise. Crazy, fun, and yet very different feeling. I laughed, I cried, I cheered

#fateofthefurious is exactly what you buy your ticket for. A few fun “so bad they’re good moments” and Statham has a movie-stealing scene

The best part of #Fast8 is mosdef Jason Statham interacting with a wee babe.
