How quickly does Hong Sang-Soo knock out films? This year, he’s got two hitting the Cannes Film Festival: “The Day After” in Competition, and “Claire’s Camera” which screens Out Of Competition. And we want to see them both.

But we’ll start with “The Day After,” in which a man gets caught in a martial misunderstanding between two women, and we’re sure Hong Sang-Soo will spin this kind of situation, with his own unique touch. Here’s the official synopsis:
It is Areum’s first day of work at a small publisher. Her boss Bongwan loved and recently broke up with the woman who previously worked there.
Today too, the married Bongwan leaves home in the dark morning and sets off to work.
The memories of the woman who left weigh down on him.
That day Bongwan’s wife finds a love note, bursts into the office, and mistakes Areum for the woman who left.
