Being a publicist is normally pretty mundane. Yes, you work with famous people and get to interact in situations that most of your friends would be jealous of. But for the most part, it’s securing interviews and guarding the reputation of the project or people you’re hired to help. Well, in the series “Flack,” it’s much more dramatic than just that.

As seen in the trailer for “Flack,” the series follows a group of intrepid young publicists that will do damn near anything to repair the reputations of their clients. That could include pretending to be gay for publicity. Perhaps even making a sex tape to distract from other bad news. Whatever the problem, these are the folks that can help you solve it. Though, you may not enjoy their methods. But hey, it’s better than the truth getting out, right?

The cast includes Anna Paquin, Sophie Okonedo, Genevieve Angelson, Lydia Wilson, Rebecca Benson, Arinze Kene, Marc Warren, and Rufus Jones. This Amazon series is created by Oliver Lansley. The writer is probably best known for his series, “Whites.”
