Gemma's Artertons On Display In Set Pics From Neil Jordan's Vampire Tale 'Byzantium'

Well, this is certainly an eye-opening first look (courtesy of the Daily Mail). Photos have leaked of the lovely Gemma Arterton from the set of Neil Jordan's cool-sounding vampire movie "Byzantium." The movie stars Arterton as a woman who, after she's transformed into a vampire, does the same to her daughter (Saoirse Ronan) and the two hit the road, posing as sisters, and presumably getting into a series of bloody misadventures. The cast also includes Sam Riley, Caleb Landry Jones, Bradley Jones, and Daniel Mays. But why are we even typing anything when you're just looking at those photos? Hello? Anyone?

Since the scene they were shooting is on the beach, in daytime, we can assume that either a) this is a sequence that takes place before Arterton is turned into the sexiest damn creature of the night you ever did saw or b) the vampire mythology of the film (written by "Jane Eyre's" Moira Buffini) is skewered somewhat, like Scott Snyder's popular comic book "American Vampire" (wherein the beasties actually get their power from the sun). Either way, this doesn't really matter because Arterton's cleavage is so pronounced (and admittedly impressive). It's been a little while since Jordan has had a new movie out (and the last time he tackled vampires we ended up with the great baroque camp of "Interview with the Vampire"), so she-bosoms aside, we're pretty amped about this one.

Filming just started on the movie but we would be very surprised if it missed out on the key Halloween 2012 release date.
