There’s no shortage of TV series that have explored the lives of teens in high school. The drama is seemingly never-ending, as we watch kids come-of-age in a time when everything seems catastrophic. But “Grand Army” hopes to be a little different than your typical teen drama.
As seen in the new trailer for “Grand Army,” the new Netflix drama series doesn’t just tackle issues that are relevant to every human that has ever gone through their teenage years. In addition to that, the series takes a decidedly 2020 approach and tackles the issues that are going on right now and the generation of young people that is growing up in a time that is unprecedented.
The show features a huge ensemble of young performers that includes Odley Jean as Dominique (Dom) Pierre, Odessa A’zion as Joey Del Marco, Maliq Johnson as Jayson Jackson, Amalia Yoo as Leila Kwan Zimmer, Amir Bageria as Siddhartha (Sid) Pakam, Alphonso Jones as John Ellis, Anthony Ippolito as George Wright, Brian Altemus as Luke Friedman, Thelonius “Monk” Serrel Freed as Tim Delaney, Jaden Jordan as Owen Williams, Ashley Ganger as Meera Pakam, Sydney Meyer as Anna Delany, Brittany Adebumola as Tamika Jones, and Crystal Nelson as Tor Sampson.
