'Gravity' Composer Steven Price Will Score Edgar Wright's 'Ant-Man'

Steven Price Ant-Man

With a BAFTA win under his belt last night, and a potential Oscar on the horizon, thirty-six year old rising composer Steven Price couldn’t ask for a better arrival in Hollywood. His work on “Gravity” is already career-defining stuff — not bad for only the third feature film composing credit to his name — and it’s not a surprise he’s already being tapped from all quarters for more gigs. He’s already set to tune up David Ayer‘s forthcoming WWII flick “Fury,” and now Price is going superhero for Edgar Wright who tweeted the following Sunday evening:

It will mark Price’s second collaboration with Wright, as he also scored the director’s “The World’s End” (he also composed the score for “Attack The Block” which Wright served as producer on). It’s another stepping stone for Price who is already somewhat on top of the world with “Gravity.” Either way, he’s a big talent who we’re sure to be hearing a lot more from in the years to come. “Ant-Man” opens on July 17, 2015.

But if you want to hear more music from Price sooner, tune into the Alfonso Cuaron produced NBC series “Believe” this spring, which will feature music he wrote for the show. And yes, Cuaron directed the pilot episode.
