P.T. Barnum’s flair for showmanship was so renown, that his name has become an adjective to describe those with similar aims to entertain. And soon we’ll see if director Michael Gracey can match the subject of his film “The Greatest Showman” which lands in cinemas this holiday season.
Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya star in the movie that will whisk viewers back to the birth of showbiz, showing how P.T. Barnum found the magic alchemy that mixed entertainment with business smarts. Powering it all will be songs by “La La Land” pair Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, so be prepared to leave the cinema with some tunes lodged in your brain. Here’s the official synopsis:
