Just a few days after Hannover House ran into trouble with their plans a for CG animated “Terminator 3000,” they’ve lost the rights to another film.
Deadline reports that “How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor’s directorial debut “Happythankyoumoreplease” has left Hannover House and is currently negotiating a new distribution deal with Anchor Bay Films. No reason has been given for the split except that it’s mutual (yeah, right), but this certainly isn’t good news for the fledgling film distributors whose only release this year was the critically slammed teen drug drama “Twelve,” directed by Joel Schumacher.
Winner of the Sundance Audience Award this year, the film starring Malin Akerman, Kate Mara and Zoe Kazan follows six twenty-somethings in New York. Obviously, as things are in flux there is no word of a release date yet in place.
