'Home Team': Kevin James & Taylor Lautner Team Up For A Netflix Sports Family Comedy

Netflix loves Adam Sandler, Adam Sandler loves comedian Kevin James, therefore the next Happy Madison production for Netflix, the company where Sandler has set up shop, is the high school football comedy “The Home Team” starring Kevin James and that Taylor Lautner kid from “Twilight” who we haven’t seen in years.

The cast is pretty huge and on top of Kevin James and Taylor Lautner, there’s a lot of usual suspects and a lot of kids: Rob Schneider, Jackie Sandler, Gary Valentine, Tait Blum, Maxwell Simkins, Jacob Perez, Bryant Tardy, Manny Magnus, Liam Kyle, Christopher Farrar, Merek Mastrov, Isaiah Mustafa, Christopher Titone, Ashley D. Kelley, Lavell Crawford, Allen Covert, Anthony L. Fernandez, and Jared Sandler.

What’s it about? Well, a disgraced Super Bowl coach gets suspended and then has to try and reconnect with his son by coaching his high school football team, what else could it be? Here’s the very short synopsis:

Two years after a Super Bowl win when NFL head coach Sean Payton is suspended, he goes back to his hometown and finds himself reconnecting with his 12-year-old son by coaching his Pop Warner football team.
