While audiences this weekend voted in favor of seeing Blake Lively avoid a deadly shark in “The Shallows,” we all know there can still only be one movie that makes you truly afraid to get in the water: Steven Spielberg‘s “Jaws.” Over four decades since kicking off the blockbuster era, the movie stands as a towering achievement… of cheeseball cinema. That’s Screen Junkies story, and they’re sticking to it.
The latest S.J. Honest Trailer tweaks Spielberg’s first major movie, noting that for all the skill both behind and in front of the camera, it’s still a killer shark movie in the final analysis. It’s a fun tribute to the movie, calling Richard Dreyfuss‘ Hooper the original hipster and suggesting the real monster of the movie is that money grubbing mayor played by Murray Hamilton. Check out the Honest Trailer and let us know if you’ll be watching “Jaws” this holiday weekend.
