'Horrible Bosses 2' Needs To Find A New Boss As Director Seth Gordon Exits The Film

We have to be honest, we kinda forgot that this was an actual thing that was really happening. You might have remembered that earlier this year, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis all signed up to return for “Horrible Bosses 2,” with original helmer Seth Gordon ready to direct. Nothing has really been heard about the movie since, but it seems everything is moving along to shoot this fall (which perhaps explains why Sudeikis finally left “Saturday Night Live“), but now it needs, well, a boss.

Citing the catch-all excuse of “scheduling conflicts,” Gordon has exited the movie. Apparently, he’s just too busy with “other projects,” one of them being an ABC comedy called “The Goldbergs.” Maybe TV really is stealing all the talent these days. Anyways, New Line is looking for a new helmer to step in, so don’t worry folks, the movie will probably still happen and be as thoroughly routine as we can possibly expect. After all, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, responsible for this spring’s “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” are penning the script.

No word yet on the new batch of bosses or if Jamie Foxx will pop back in, but we’re sure everything will be answered soon enough. As for Gordon, he’ll still have a chance to work with Day and Sudeikis as they’re developing “One Night On The Hudson” together. [THR]
