If you’re a fan of “House of Cards,” then you probably thought that Frank Underwood was a bad guy, but his wife, Claire, is perhaps worse than him. In the latest trailer for the upcoming sixth and final season of the Emmy Award-winning series seems to confirm that without Frank in the picture, Claire, played masterfully by Robin Wright, now has full power and she’s pretty terrifying.
While previous trailers and teasers for the new season of “House of Cards” focused on the fact that Frank Underwood is now dead (still don’t know how it happened…or who might have done it), the full trailer for the series seems to forget all about the previous POTUS and focus on his wife and her struggles as the new Commander in Chief.
Familiar faces show up again, including Michael Kelly as Doug Stamper, who seems to be leading the whole “Claire is evil” charge. You also have new faces like the welcome additions of Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear. Both of those actors automatically raise the bar of the whole cast by being part of the series and will easily make fans go, “Kevin Spacey who?”
The final season of “House of Cards” has a lot of questions to answer before the end of the season. However, the biggest question of all is obviously how it will all end for the Underwood family. Will Claire become the greatest President of all-time? Will she crash and burn? Is there any way to redeem her after 5 seasons of proving she’s far from the innocent “good wife?” Perhaps, Frank isn’t the only Underwood that won’t survive the series?
All these questions will be answered when the sixth and final season of “House of Cards” hits Netflix on November 2.
