In the first trailer for the drama, a phone call to an older man gives us all the information we need to understand the story – an older man is haunted by the loss of the love of his life. As he walks around his home, he can’t help but remember the events that shaped his life and have left him alone in a dark house. He goes back to his childhood, through his young adulthood, and of course, to the present day, where’s he’s clearly broken and distraught.
The film stars J.K. Simmons, Sebastian Stan, Max Greenfield, Maika Monroe, Mandy Moore, and Iain Armitage. “I’m Not Here” is co-written and directed by Simmons’ wife Michelle Schumacher, who previously helmed the film “3 Geezers!” back in 2013.
“I’m Not Here” hits theaters March 8, 2019
