At the halfway point now of the summer movie season, we’ve seen lots of big blockbuster action, raunchy comedies, sequels, animated fare, indie dramedies and more. But we haven’t really had a good scare, however “The Conjuring” is hope to frighten the butter off your popcorn… but does it have the goods?
Well, short of actually seeing the movie, six clips and a bunch of new images are here to give you a better sense of what James Wan has put together. The word is that Warner Bros. is super confident on the movie, hence giving it a plum summer release date, and early buzz has been positive. The based-on-the-true-story tale (aren’t they all?) stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as a ghost-sleuthing couple who take on their most frightening case yet, and we’re not just talking about that ’70s wardrobe…
