Even after "Jackass 3D" took in $170 million, it seemed like the extra footage jambalaya that was the straight-to-DVD "Jackass 3.5" might the final entry in the "Jackass" franchise, especially after the tragic death of cast member Ryan Dunn. Maybe not. In fact, it looks like the "Jackass" gang could preparing another installment of pranks, stunts, and general testicle-abuse.
Paramount hasn't announced another sequel, per se, but are apparently registering several domain names for a sequel that will apparently named "Jackass 4: Bad Grandpa." While none of the websites are live, the studio has registered names like "badgrampa-movie.com," "jackass4badgrampa.com," "jackass4badgrampamovie.com," "jackass4badgrandpa.com," "jackass4badgrandpamovie.com" and so on covering pretty much every conceivable combinatoion. Registering domain names isn't exactly a sure sign of an impending sequel, but it also wouldn't be the first time that domain name registration precipitated a future project, either.
Still, it's probably best to consider this a rumor for the time being. While the "bad grandpa" segments from the "Jackass" films were arguably some of the better moments, it might be a stretch to spread that particular prank over 90 minutes. Then again, that's kind of what many critics have been saying about the "Jackass" films for years. [Fusible via What Culture]
