We’re just a couple weeks away from “It,” and the horror film is going to be big. Early tracking suggests that the R-rated adaptation of Stephen King‘s bestseller could smash the record for September opening weekends, which is currently held by “Hotel Transylvania 2” with $48 million. But let’s leave the numbers out of it for now, and focus on the film itself, particularly the soundtrack which is gearing up to haunt your nightmares.
Benjamin Wallfisch gets scoring duties for “It,” and it sounds like he’s made the most of his opportunity. You might’ve heard his previous work, with Wallfisch having worked with Hans Zimmer’s “Dunkirk” and “Hidden Figures” (and the upcoming “Blade Runner 2049”), as well as tuning up “A Cure For Wellness.” As for “It,” EW has a preview of two tracks — “Pennywise’s Tower” and “You’ll Float Too” — and it’ll get the goosebumps going.

“It” soundtrack will be released on CD and digital versions (running 38 tracks long) on Sept. 8th (the same day as the movie), with the special vinyl versions dropping on Oct. 27th.
