If “Whiplash” taught us anything, it’s that J.K. Simmons sure knows how to yell, and can dress you up and down six ways to Sunday. And in the new trailer for “Renegades” he gets to do just that, but sadly, he’s not the star of the show.

Instead, it’s Sullivan Stapleton (“300: Rise Of An Empire”) who takes center stage in this action flick about a team of Navy SEALs who go rogue on a mission to recover Nazi gold, but of course, run into trouble in the process. Here’s the official synopsis:
RENEGADES is about a team of Navy SEALs on assignment in war-torn Europe who discover a treasure of gold at the bottom of a lake — rumored to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. In an effort to help the locals, they go rogue and engineer a heist to retrieve the gold and return it to its rightful owners. But in a deadly turn of events, they are detected by the enemy and left with only 10 hours to carry out their mission.
“Renegades” opens on February 3, 2017.
