Jada Pinkett Talks Portrayal In Tupac Biopic 'All Eyez On Me'

After years in development, and some legal wrangling, the officially sanctioned biopic on legendary rapper Tupac Shakur hits theaters this weekend. While “All Eyez On Me” didn’t quite resonate with critics, it’s looking like the movie founds its audience anyway, and is set to have a healthy opening weekend. But not everyone is cheering the rap drama.

Jada Pinkett Smith, who is played by Kat Graham in the film, has taken issue with Benny Boom‘s film for misrepresenting her relationship with Tupac, and seemingly creating dramatic conflict where there was none. Here’s what she had to say on Twitter:

There hasn’t been a response from the filmmakers, but Smith is gracious to leave the lead actors out of the fray on this one. Shakur’s story is epic and complex, and it’s shame that it sounds like “All Eyez On Me” missed an opportunity to tell that story.
