Jaden Smith Reveals Two Boring, Obvious Details About M. Night Shyamalan's ‘One Thousand A.E.’

Mark Wahlberg Admits ‘The Happening’ Sucked

Last month it was reported that M. Night Shyamalan was developing a new film, “One Thousand A.E.” as a potential vehicle for newest pint sized box office wonder, Jaden Smith. Details were kept under wraps at the time with the only news about the project being that it wasn’t written by Shyamalan (thank god) but was instead penned by Gary Whitta (“The Book Of Eli,” doh!).

Speaking with EW, Jaden provided two more details about the secretive project, a couple of tidbits you probably could have figured out for yourself. “We’re reading the script right now,” he says. “I don’t want to give it away because that wouldn’t be tight, but it’s set in the future and it’s about a journey.” We also hear that it might be what’s known as a “talkie” as well.

So yeah, pretty much total Captain Obvious stuff, but in much more interesting Shyamalan news, during the press rounds for “The Fighter,” Mark Wahlberg got in the fighting mood by giving “The Happening” a full knockout punch that stars with a question of how he first met Amy Adams.

“We had actually had the luxury of having lunch before to talk about another movie and it was a bad movie that I did. She dodged the bullet. And then I was still able to … I don’t want to tell you what movie … alright ‘The Happening.’ Fuck it. It is what it is. Fucking trees, man. The plants. Fuck it. You can’t blame me for not wanting to try to play a science teacher. At least I wasn’t playing a cop or a crook.”

Don’t worry Mark. We don’t blame you, we blame M. Night.
