James Caan & Rick Ross Hit Miami In Trailer For Season 2 Of Starz Drama 'Magic City'

nullHaving navigated a mid-season slump to slide out from underneath the shadow of “Mad Men,” Starz period drama “Magic City” has been gearing up for a second outing of shady hotel dealings and the glossy veneer just above, and now an extended trailer has made its way online to tease the latest developments at the Miami Miramar Playa, as well as a new historical element overall.

Just trailing the show's recent TCA presentation, the 1959-set trailer for Season 2 (via Dark Horizons) glimpses the shifting tides in hotel owner Ike Evans' (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) life, as he not only finds threats from Miami mobster Ben "The Butcher" Diamond (Danny Huston), but also the added cast inclusion of Chicago gangster Sy Berman (James Caan) making his own moves. Caan looks to be on fine scenery chewing form here, and combined with Ike's turn toward Cuba and a potential business relationship with Fidel Castro, a dose of pulpy fun looks very much possible. And oh shit, there's the bawse himself, rapper Rick Ross getting some screentime too. Damn.

Check the trailer out below, before “Magic City” finds its way back onto Starz this summer.
