Jared Leto And Chris Evans Out, Luke Evans And Justin Theroux In For 'The Girl On The Train'

Luke Evans Justin TherouxThis fall, we didn’t have a sizzling thriller like David Fincher‘s "Gone Girl" to sink our teeth into at the multiplex, but DreamWorks will have us covered next year when they drop the adaptation of this year’s buzz book, Paula Hawkins‘ "The Girl On The Train." And while casting has been moving along at a fast past, there has been a couple of key switcheroos.

Jared Leto and Chris Evans have exited the picture, with Luke Evans and Justin Theroux now stepping in to join the lead trio of Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, and Haley BennettTate Taylor ("The Help," "Get On Up") will direct the story about a young woman whose observations of a married couple on her daily commute take a sudden, deadly turn when she sees something not quite right. Evans will play Bennett’s husbands, with Theroux as Blunt’s ex.

Edgar Ramirez and Allison Janney have also joined the cast in recent weeks. Production is now underway and the movie will hit theaters on October 7, 2016. [The Hollywood Reporter]
