After a star-making turn as Eazy-E in the 2015 box office hit, “Straight Outta Compton,” actor Jason Mitchell appeared to be on the fast-track for superstardom. He followed that film with a starring role on the critically-acclaimed Showtime series “The Chi,” and appeared in projects like “Mudbound,” “Kong: Skull Island,” and recently, “The Mustang.” But it appears that rough waters are ahead for Mitchell, as he’s reportedly been fired from his series work and an upcoming film due to some unsettling accusations.
THR is reporting that Mitchell has been fired from “The Chi,” as well as the upcoming Netflix film “Desperados,” after allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment were reported from a co-star. The report alleges that Mitchell had “issues” with multiple women on the set of his Showtime series, including his on-screen girlfriend, played by Tiffany Boone.

According to sources speaking to THR, Boone made complaints to producers about multiple instances of misconduct and harassment on set. She allegedly felt so unsafe around Mitchell that she had to bring her boyfriend to the set of “The Chi” to keep an eye on her.
The issues weren’t just on the set of “The Chi,” however. The report also says that Mitchell also had issues with his co-stars on the Netflix comedy film “Desperados,” including actresses Nasim Pedrad and Anna Camp. He has already been recast in the upcoming film.
