Sometimes there’s a casting announcement that just feels right. A situation that you might not have imagined would happen but when you read it, you’re like, “Yep, that’s about right.” Well, today’s bit of obvious news is that Jason Momoa is joining the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
According to THR, Jason Momoa is set to join Vin Diesel and the rest of the “family” in the upcoming “Fast and Furious 10.” While the exact role and plot details aren’t known at this time, it’s being reported that Momoa is likely set to play a villain role. So, yeah, expect him to lose a fistfight with Vin Diesel.
Jason Momoa is probably best known for his role as Jason Ioane in the beloved syndicated drama series, “Baywatch.” (Kidding.) We all know Momoa best from his role as Aquaman in the various DC superhero films, such as the aptly titled, billion-dollar-grossing solo adventure, “Aquaman.” He’s next expected to show up in the forthcoming sequel, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

Not much is known about “Fast and Furious 10.” We do know the film is said to be split into two parts and serve as a finale for the current ‘Fast’ franchise. We also know Dwayne Johnson is not going to appear in the film due to his ongoing issues with the aforementioned Diesel. But you have to admit, Momoa is an obvious choice to join the franchise, right? And if he doesn’t say, “My man!” at least once, we revolt.
Filming is expected to begin soon on “Fast and Furious 10,” with an expected release date of May 19, 2023.
