Jennifer Lawrence Draws A Gun In New Pics From 'House At The End Of The Street' Plus Novelization Artwork

nullOne of the stranger movie tie-in promotional items that, for some reason, continues to this day, is the novelization of the movie. Granted, when we were kids, movie obsession led us to read the book version of a film at one time or another, but do enough people care these days to make the investment in writing and publishing these efforts worth it? They must be, because the upcoming Jennifer Lawrence low-budget thriller "House at the End of the Street" is getting literary.

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers (huh? is this even appropriate for young reader?) will be publishing the masterwork on August 21st — a full month before the movie comes out — so you can be sure to spoil everything before you go see it in theaters. It was written by Lily Blake, who also penned the book version of "Snow White and the Huntsman," in case you wanted to know. For a movie like "The Dark Knight Rises" — which is also getting the novel treatment, by the way — we can understand the decision to go down the book route…but "House at the End of the Street," which will probably be released, you'll blink, and then be gone from theaters? Could we be underestimating the potential of this flick?

Guess we'll find out. Co-starring Elisabeth Shue and Max Theriot, 'End of the Street' opens on September 21st. Check out a bunch of new pics from the movie below. [Kinopoisk]nullnullnullnullnullnullnull
