Having less and less faith in Diablo Cody’s B-looking teen horror comedy, “Jennifer’s Body” directed by Karyn Kusama (“Girlfight”)? If you’re going on everything we’ve seen so far, including the bad Fangoria-mouthed teeth and the so-so trailer, you’re probably feeling rather skeptical about the film.
Well, you wouldn’t be the only one and if the soundtrack is any indication, you’re not going to get much better.
The soundtrack details have leaked and their run-of-the-mill, radio-ready emo rock via Fueled by Ramen (with a bunch of their bands, naturally) with only a few bands of interest (The Sword). The disc will hit on August 25. However, if you happen to care about these bands, the soundtrack will feature previously unreleased tracks from Cobra Starship, Hayley Williams, and Panic! At The Disco, who contribute the first single, “New Perspective.” Hole’s “Violet” from Live Through This, will be included on the digital Deluxe Edition. Randall Poster did the music supervision here (nice, paycheck, guy 😉
[Meanwhile, here’s a new scan of Megan Fox in “Jennifer’s Body” from EW that’s not online yet]. The film’s “anthem,” is called “Through The Trees,” and is written by the fictional group in the film called Low Shoulder (that actor Adam Brody fronts). But who is the real band composing the music for Low Shoulder. That’s still unknown, but if the bands below are any indication, we’re not sure we care…
