Jonah Hill Will Be In Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained' After All

nullLast fall, while on the press rounds for his Oscar-nominated turn in "Moneyball," Jonah Hill lamented one role that got away from him, a part in Quentin Tarantino's then brewing "Django Unchained." "I got offered the new Quentin Tarantino movie, and I can't do it because of my schedule," he said at the time. "Doing Quentin's movie would have obviously been amazing, but my schedule didn't work out, which sucks." Well, it looks like good fortune is shining on Hill as he's back in.

Deadline reports that Hill has joined the apparently still shooting film (hey Quentin, this thing is supposed to be in theaters in six months, just saying) but not as who you might think. While he was pegged for the role of Scott Harmony — an overweight 24-year-old whose father buys him Broomhilda to help his self-confidence — he won't be filling that part this time around, instead taking on something else. As you might remember, Sacha Baron Cohen was also briefly linked to that role, but he dropped out of the movie. We guess we'll see who will play that character (or if it will remain in the final movie) and just who Hill will take on, but there may be more news soon. It was just a few weeks ago that Harvey Weinstein was teasing that surprises may be in store for the casting of the film yet to come. This is one of them, will there be more?

But either way, it's going to be a pretty nice summer for Hill who will be working with Tarantino and then with his 'Django' co-star Leonardo DiCaprio on Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf Of Wall Street." Production continues on "Django Unchained," which will open in theaters on Christmas Day.
