Jordan Peele is back. Well, not yet, but kinda. You see, we are still one year away from the release of the filmmaker’s highly-anticipated third feature, but that doesn’t mean Peele can’t tease us a little bit, right? That’s right, the title for Jordan Peele’s new film is “Nope.” Without knowing anything about the plot, you can’t help but think that is an absolutely great title for a film. That said, even with a title, a poster, and an all-star cast already announced, we’re not really any closer to knowing exactly what to expect with “Nope.” Other than the fact that it’s a new film from the guy who gave us “Get Out” and “Us.” And it’s definitely positioning itself as yet another thriller, so you can let your mind run free with the possibilities.
As mentioned, the film does have a great cast led by Daniel Kaluuya reteaming with the filmmaker after the award-winning collaboration in “Get Out.” He’s also joined by Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, and Brandon Perea. in the film. So, again, it appears that Peele is knocking it out of the park with his casting.
“Nope” is expected to arrive in theaters on July 22, 2022. Obviously, we’ll be keeping an eye out for this film, which is likely going to be near the top of our most anticipated films of next year.
