Josh Brolin And Members Of 'W' Cast Arrested In Bar Brawl

Josh Brolin and five others, including his co-star Jeffery Wright were arrested in an early morning bar fight while in Shreveport Louisiana for Oliver Stone’s sure to be heavy handed George W. Bush biopic, “W.” Normally this type of activity during the shooting of a film would worry the higher ups, but in this particular case, it could turn out to be the best publicity they will get.

Aside from the amazing/ridiculous idea itseld and the amusing casting, this has to be the most newsworthy and interesting event to develop on the set of Stone’s film, since the hilariously implausible idea and news of the filmmakers shooting, editing and turning around of this film in about seven months (Lionsgate loves their quality, see the “Saw” franchise) for release ideally on election week.

Also, the recent arrests have brought to our attention that Jeffery Wright will be playing Colin Powell, was that a covert casting move or did we just screw the pooch entirely? Either way, it doesn’t really matter, if Oliver Stone continues with the trend of making an exponentially crappier movie than the one before, this thing will be lucky to get a theatrical release. Would Dubya be proud at the bar brawl news? Surely, he woulda got some licks in during his heyday. We aren’t sure, but this could be the most accurate depiction of Bush that Brolin does this entire project.
