Juno Soundtrack: Michael Cera And Ellen Page Sing Moldy Peaches "Anyone Else" But You

“Juno” opens up this weekend in limited release (it actually opened on Wednesday).

We’ve gone on about this movie and soundtrack many times (we need to not be lazy and post our review, it’s great), but to recap: “Juno” is comedy about a teenage girl (‘X-Men 3”s Ellen Page) who gets pregnant by her bff (played by Michael Cera) and finds her unborn child a “perfect” set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), longing to adopt.

The movie is top heavy on songs by ex-Moldy Peaches singer Kimya Dawson and some Peaches tracks (they reunited recently at the L.A. premiere). It also features existing songs by the Kinks, the Velvet Underground (a self-titled 3rd album B-side), Buddy Holly, Cat Power, Hole, Belle & Sebastian, Sonic Youth (an excellent B-side Carpenters cover) and Ellen Page and Michael Cera singing the Moldy Peaches song, “Anyone Else But You” together in the film.

We’ve procured the Page and Cera duet and a Dawson track used in the movie. Go see “Juno” this weekend, it’s surprisingly sweet as well as sardonically funny. The soundtrack comes out digitially December 11 and we’ve also posted all the songs used in the movie (the soundtrack can only hold so many tracks). We’re sorry we haven’t posted more today. We’re violently hungover. Please forgive us.
