As seen in the new trailer for “Just Beyond,” the series is inspired by the stories from legendary Young Adult horror author, R.L. Stine and tells eight different stories about things that go bump in the night. Ghosts, aliens, witches, and more take center stage in stories that are meant to excite and possibly scare a younger audience. No, don’t expect some sort of “Evil Dead” level of gore in this family-friendly series.

As mentioned, “Just Beyond” is based on stories from a recent R.L. Stine comic book series. The show is written and showrun by Seth Grahame-Smith, who is no stranger to horror, having previously written “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and the Tim Burton film, “Dark Shadows.”
