Katherine Heigl will not leave our movie screens.
Sidney Kimmel and Lakeshore Entertainment, who will already punish filmgoers by putting Heigl in the lead role of the adaptation of Janet Evanovich’s “One For The Money,” are prepping another Heigl rom-com, the high concept “Adaline.” The story “revolves around a beautiful woman who hasn’t aged in 100 years but hasn’t found love, either. She finally meets that guy who might be worth embracing mortality, and all the wrinkles and sagging that comes with it.” We feel sorry for the guy who is going to have to spend the rest of his life listening to: “I can’t believe I gave up immortality for this…” Leaving the toilet seat up has never looked so good.
Mills Goodloe (“Pride”) and Sal Pascowitz (“Nic & Tristan Go Mega Dega”) wrote the script, and it has been revised by Allison Burnett (“Fame,” “Untraceable”). That’s quite the lineup of mediocre talent. Andy Tennant (“Hitch,” “The Bounty Hunter”) is going to be the one responsible for directing this thing.
The film is prepped for a shoot next spring with the lone consolation being that while Heigl’s character may be immortal, the film won’t be.
