Keri Russell Wakes Up At 'The Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes'

nullSo, Keri Russell is kind of having a moment, isn’t she? While “Dark Skies” didn’t exactly rain success on the box office, she’s the center of one of the big buys of the Sundance Film Festival, the high concept rom-com “Austenland” and then there’s that little show called “The Americans” which seems to be picking up fans left and right. And now, the actress is powering up into her first non-J.J. Abrams-related blockbuster.

Russell has joined the increasingly solid cast of “Dawn Of The Planet Of Apes.” Of course, plot details aren’t being revealed just yet, but Matt Reeves seems to be telling everyone the right things to be able to line-up a cast that includes the returning Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Kodi-Smit McPhee and Gary Oldman. And that’s about all we know about the sequel, other than it will be set fifteen years after the previous movies, with the scientists trying to survive and Caesar trying to maintain his rule. Oldman will head up the human colony.

Speculate what the rest of the cast is playing below, because they ain’t sayin’. “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes” breaks on May 23, 2014. [Variety]
